Former Real Madrid and Everton manager Rafa Benitez is taking his time on his next job.
Benitez says he plans to return to management only for the right job.
He told AS: "I am waiting for a team from the Spanish, English, German, French or Italian league, which are the strongest and closest. I have had offers from Mexico, China, Korea, Arabia. Also from England, Italy and even Spain, but they were not the ones that interested me at the time.
"I'm a professional and I don't usually talk about the teams involved, especially when you're more closely related, unless they say so. That there have been teams lately, yes, but it is evident that the circumstance or the moment has not occurred because if I had not gone to one of them.
"It is more difficult for me to choose the team that I want. I have coached large teams in Italy, in Spain, in England… And that limits you. I don't have many big teams left because you're not going to go to a direct rival that you've already been to.
"The strange thing was Everton and I went because I was here in the city. But after Liverpool, United doesn't call you. You have to go to teams that are in the background or in other Leagues. It is more difficult for me than for a youngster to find a team, because it has to offer me features that allow me to improve. I don't like going to a team to be in the middle of the table without being able to do anything else."
