Napoli boss Rafa Benitez was satisfied with their 0-0 draw with Europa League opponents Sparta Prague.
The result is enough to send them through to the next round.
"The pitch was poor and it was not easy to play well," said Benitez.
"In the second half we did better and created some scoring opportunities. Qualification was our objective and we achieved it, therefore the team worked very well.
"We had a few problems with the playing surface and they had already become apparent yesterday in the warm-up. The ball did not roll cleanly and it was trickier to control passes the way we do at the San Paolo."
