Zinedine Zidane is expected to earn a promotion this summer at Real Madrid.Rafa Benitez, after it was confirmed he would be leaving Napoli yesterday, is now in talks with Real about the senior job, says AS.

Benitez will not bring Fabio Pecchia, his No.2 at Napoli, and there is a clear profile for the names being considered: a former Real Madrid player, and someone who is charismatic and respected by the dressing-room.

The option of Zidane does not displease Benítez, in the event that the Frenchman agrees to the proposal.

Zidane was Carlo Ancelotti's No.2 during the Italian's first season at the club, before he took charge of Castilla.
