Ben Arfa prepared to remain with Newcastle unless it's a 'serious proposition'

Hatem Ben Arfa is determined to remain with Newcastle United unless of course he gets an offer from a big club.

The French winger became a key player at Sports Direct Arena last season and has attracted some attention from rival clubs but he insists he is content in a Magpies shirt although he could be swayed by a real proposal from elsewhere.

"If I don't have a really very, very serious proposition, I will stay," he told Sky Sports.

"If a big club comes but doesn't propose me something very exciting, which means the coach really wants me, I will stay.

"If I don't feel trust from the coach at 100 per cent, I will not leave. I have three years remaining on my contract. But I know it can go quickly."
