Asmir Begovic is set to get his chance at Stoke City for the remaining games of the season.
The former Portsmouth goalkeeper will step in for Thomas Sorensen, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in yesterday's 7-0 thrashing at Chelsea.
"He's going to get some games now," Potters boss Tony Pulis said, "and hopefully the people in front of him will work a bit harder and make it more difficult for teams to play against us."
Steve Simonsen will take up residence on the bench against Everton next Saturday after already returning from a seven-match loan spell at Sheffield United.
