Beckham wants Everton keeper Howard for his MLS franchise

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is attracting fresh MLS interest.

The People says Howard is in line to become David Beckham's first signing for Miami.

The proposed owner of the newest MLS franchise is pressing ahead with his plans to set up in the sunshine state and has ­identified the veteran shot-stopper as one of the men he wants to lead his club.

The Toffees are bracing ­themselves for a bid for the 35-year-old as superstar Beckham looks to make a bold statement of intent.

Howard is an iconic figure Stateside ­having played for well over a decade for both Manchester United and the Toffees.
