LA Galaxy star David Beckham said it was unlikely he would take up David Moyes' offer of a loan spell at Everton, Australian Associated Press reported Sunday. Moyes played with the midfielder at Preston, where the future Real Madrid star had a brief loan spell early in his Manchester United career.
But Beckham, currently touring Australia with the Galaxy, said it would be hard for him to play for anyone other than the Red Devils in England.
"It's always nice to be wanted, but I'm a Man United fan and it's a pretty close rivalry so, I don't know," Beckham said following the Galaxy's 2-1 loss to Australian club Newcastle Jets Saturday night.
Beckham said his body was another concern. He missed the World Cup this year with an Achilles injury he picked while with Milan in March.
"Right now I'm just getting my body back into shape because I was out of the game for six months with a pretty serious injury and I came back pretty quickly,'' Beckham said.
"I'm feeling the effects of the month and a half I've played since I got injured."
