Beckham and LA Galaxy set for 2010 finale against Newcastle Jets

Major League Soccer giants LA Galaxy will now prepare for their final match of 2010 following yesterday's disappointment in losing the Western Conference final to FC Dallas.

The Galaxy were hoping they would still have two matches left for the calendar year before they took on the Texan outfit at The Home Depot Center but a 3-0 loss means they are now out of the race for the 2010 MLS Cup, which they were so close to winning a year ago.

David Beckham, Landon Donovan, Edson Buddle and co. will travel to Australia to take on A-League club Newcastle Jets at EnergyAustralia Stadium on Saturday, November 27.

After a strong MLS regular season in which they took out the Supporter's Shield with 18 wins, seven ties and five losses from 30 matches, the two-time MLS Cup winners will meet the one-time Australian champions in a coming together of two of the youngest competitions in world football.

Following the exhibition match, the Galaxy players will take a break before coming together again to prepare for the 2011 MLS season where they will seek redemption after being prematurely eliminated from the 2010 play-offs.
