Former Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford says they must secure Kalvin Phillips to a new deal amid interest from the likes of Manchester City.
Phillips is reportedly a target for the Premier League champions this summer, with Pep Guardiola keen on finding a replacement for the departing Fernandinho.
But there have also been reports suggesting Phillips would be open to extending his contract at Leeds, particularly after they secured another season in the Premier League.
"He loves playing for his boyhood club but if his contract situation is not resolved relatively quickly - and I would be tempted to fast-track it through - then naturally one of the top-four teams will come in for him," Beckford told the Mirror.
