Everton striker Jermaine Beckford is delighted to be amongst the goals in preseason.
The former Leeds United star struck twice in the friendly win over Preston North End.
Beckford told Evertonian magazine: "It is always nice to get the first one out of the way and get the pressure off.
"Hopefully I will be able to get a few more in pre-season and carry the form on."
Both Beckford's goals at Deepdale were well taken, the first a composed finish and the second an expertly-executed volley.
"It was a great cross from Louis and I just peeled off and volleyed it in," he recalled.
"The reception from the fans was amazing, I can't wait to play the first game at Goodison now."
