Bayindir: Man Utd debut very special

Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir said it felt special to make his debut for the club.

The Turkish international finally got his chance to start for the club, with Andre Onana at AFCON.

Bayindir, who will likely drop to the bench for their next game, put in an assured display in a 4-2 win over League Two side Newport County in the FA Cup on Sunday.

“I was playing my first game, I'm feeling very good because it's a big club in the world and we have a big fan[base], everyone coming [to] every game, everyone supporting us," Bayindir told MUTV post-game.

“I'm feeling very good. Tomorrow, I will continue in the morning. Today is finished and we won today, we are very happy.

“But we have the next game and we need to be focused for every game, because every game is important for us, everyone wants to win because they know they are playing with Manchester United – it's a big club in the world."
