Daniel van Buyten claims that Bayern Munich would never go after a player like Eden Hazard.

The former Belgium international, who acts as a scout for the German powerhouse, has played down suggestions that the Chelsea ace is a target for his club.

Reports recently emerged that Bayern were pondering a summer move for Hazard but former defender van Buyten has denied such speculation.

"Bayern would never sign a player like Eden Hazard," he told Het Nieuwsblad of his fellow countryman.

"He would cost between €70-80 million [£52-59m] and that is a lot of money, even for Bayern.

"They would rather sign a 17-year-old or an 18-year-old who would cost €5m [£3.7m] or so."
