Bayern Munich have not given up on signing Leroy Sane from Manchester City.

Sane went down with a serious knee injury at the start of the season. It is unclear if he will be ready for action by the New Year.

But The Sun claims that Bayern are still considering Sane a key target.

The Bavarians are desperate to strengthen their wings after the losses of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben this summer.

Sane was willing to leave City in the summer, with a move back to Germany appealing to him.

Speaking about Sane, City boss Pep Guardiola said to reporters: "He has to decide. If he wants and there is an agreement, then it's good.

"But if he wants to leave, he can do it. We will be sad - hopefully he stays."
