Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez put transfer talk to one side to thump home a hat-trick in the German Cup final against Wolfsburg.

Gomez scored a six-minute hat-trick within nine minutes of coming on as a substitute as Bayern Munich defeated Wolfsburg 6-1 to reach the German Cup final.

The striker is being linked with Manchester City and Chelsea after his agent admitted he was frustrated with his lack of recent starts.

"You have seen that we have three top strikers [Gomez, Mandzukic and Claudio Pizarro]. I'm happy for Mario that he has managed this hat-trick," said Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes.
