Bayern Munich have opened talks with AC Milan for defender Kakha Kaladze. Having sold Lucio to Inter Milan and seen Martin Demichelis break down with a knee injury, Bayern have made contact with Milan for Georgia international Kaladze.

Tuttosport says Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has welcomed the approach and is ready to do business for around £4 million.

Galliani will seek to replace Kaladze with Lazio youngster Lorenzo De Silvestri.
