Manchester City have received a new offer from Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane.
BILD says Bayern have made a £35million bid for Sane after agreeing terms with the Manchester City winger on a five-year deal.
The Bundesliga giants have been chasing Sane since last summer, when their pursuit of the Germany international was eventually ended by his injury in the Community Shield clash against Liverpool.
Sane has not played since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament, but the 24-year-old was back in training and targeting a return to action when the Premier League season was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Bundesliga leaders have already agreed terms with Sane, and will now focus on trying to drive down the asking price.
They have begun the bidding with an opening salvo of €40m (£35m) - which is £11m less than City paid Schalke for Sane in 2016.
