Bayern Munich are ready to go back to Fiorentina for a second time in a year to make a big signing.

After prising Luca Toni away from Florence last summer, Bayern are now eyeing his former teammate, Sebastien Frey.

Bayern are considering Frey as a replacement for veteran Oliver Kahn, with backup keeper Michael Rensing failing to convince directors he is a long-term option.

Frey has also been linked with AC Milan and is contracted to Fiorentina until 2013.
