Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti says Holger Badstuber can leave this month.

The defender, 27, is a target for Manchester City, though Hamburg SV are also keen.

"If he wants to play matches elsewhere over the next six months, we are open to it," said Ancelotti.

Badstuber is off contract in June and Bayern want him to pen a new deal before he leaves on-loan.

The centre-half enjoyed great success at Bayern under City boss Pep Guardiola.
