Bayern Munich are ready to end their pursuit of Newcastle United fullback Kieran Trippier.

Bayern have made two offers for the 33 year-old, but Newcastle have remained steadfast.

Sky Deutschland says Bayern are now close to withdrawing from the pursuit of Trippier.

After internal discussions, the club's management has decided not to raise its bid again. At least not at the moment.

Bayern Munich directors are keen not to pay a premium. Their ceiling is 15-16 million euros.

Trippier, who is under contract until 2025, has made eight assists in 28 competitive games this season.
