Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is confident Pep Guardiola will stay beyond the end of this season.

Guardiola is being linked with Manchester City, where manager Manuel Pellegrini is expected to move on this summer.

The Spaniard's current deal with Bayern runs to 2016.

"I know that Pep and his family really enjoy it in Munich. There is nothing to suggest that he will not remain our coach for 2016," said Rummenigge.

"He is the key to the successful period we are going through right now."
