Bayern Munich are set to beat Manchester United to the signature of Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
The Daily Mail says Bayern Munich have reportedly beat Manchester United to the signature of German goalkeeper Neuer, in a deal worth an estimated £17m.
Neuer, 25, is set to leave Champions League semi-finalists Schalke 04 at the end of the season.
Debt-ridden Schalke will allow Neuer - who was rumoured to be on Sir Alex Ferguson's radar, to move at the end of the current campaign so they can claim a transfer fee rather than let him leave for free.
