Franck Ribery has revealed he turned down Chelsea and Manchester United to stay with Bayern Munich during his career.
Ribery will leave Bayern at the end of this season.
And he told BILD: "It was crazy, seven elite teams wanted me, Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United, many ideas went through my head, it was not easy.
"You know what Uli Hoeness told me, Barcelona has Messi, Madrid has Ronaldo, we have you.
"It was one of the best decisions of my life to stay at Bayern, what happened next is better than I could hope for, I have to thank Uli Hoeness and my agent Alain Migliaccio once again."
