Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has shrugged off talk of returning to Real Madrid.

Xabi has been mentioned as a successor for Carlo Ancelotti.

But he says: "It is too early...

"We are in September. So it is not a problem. Of course I am focused. We have started the season well and I must be the first to continue concentrating."

Alonso insists the issue does not concern him or his players.

"They know the soccer business. It is not a problem for any of them and we do not talk about it."
