Bayer Leverkusen are planning a bid for Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic.

Bild says Bayer are ready to make an offer for Tosic following his impressive spell on-loan at Cologne this season.

However, they face stiff competition from Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund in the race to secure his signature.

Tosic would rather stay at Cologne, insisting: "I have told my agent that he should only tell me about something when it is finalized.

"I would like to stay at Cologne and clear this up before the World Cup. But we are still waiting on Manchester United and what they want to do with me."
