FC Basel coach Paulo Sousa has opened the door to a move to Sampdoria.
The former Swansea City manager is being linked with Samp as a replacement for Sinisa Mihajlovic.
"Have I had a meeting with Sampdoria? Right now I'm focused on Basel. It certainly is a pleasure for me to talk about a move abroad, it is a sign of recognition for my work, but above all to the great season my players are having," said Sousa.
Asked if he would rule out leaving Basel this summer, the former Juventus midfielder stated to Blick: "No, I do not promise anything. Nobody can promise anything in football."
