Gareth Barry has backed Manchester City's push into MLS.
City have partnered with the New York Yankees to enter a MLS franchise.
"It is a massive step for Manchester City to get involved with a club in the MLS," said Barry.
"Nothing like that has been done before. It's exciting times for the club."
