Graham Barrett has signed a new Falkirk deal to 2009.
The former Arsenal and Coventry forward has bounced back well from a serious knee injury to score seven goals in 21 starts this season.
The Republic of Ireland international endured an absence of almost two years after suffering the injury while on loan at Livingston from Coventry.
The 26-year-old said: "I am delighted to have extended my stay with the club. I have continually said that I have a strong desire to do well for this club and help us get to the next level.
"The side is very young and I truly believe that it can achieve some fantastic results in the future."
Bairns boss John Hughes added on the club's official website: "Graham has done very well this season for us and I am delighted that he has chosen to stay with us for a longer period.
"By his own admission he still has a bit to go in terms of fitness and sharpness but that is only natural given what he has come through.
"He will get there and continue to go from strength to strength, of that I have no doubt."
