Barnsley captain Brian Howard has played down the interest of Tottenham.

Spurs football chief Damien Comolli watched Howard in action against Southampton last week, but the free-scoring midfielder told Barnsley's official website: "Barnsley Football Club is where my future lies.

"I signed a two year contract in the summer and I am going nowhere. You cannot pay any attention to what you read in the papers."
