Barnsley have rejected an approach from Norwich City for Jacob Butterfield.
Butterfield is off contract, but Barnsley are due a compensation fee.
Sky News says Barnsley consider the original offer as 'derisory' and are ready for the matter to go to a transfer tribunal.
