Barnet have turned down a £250,000 offer from Swansea City for young striker Matt Stevens.

The League Two club this week rejected the offer for 17-year old Stevens who showed real signs of promise upon joining the Bees last season.

Stevens scored more than 50 goals for Barnet's youth side last term and also impressed in several senior appearances.

Swansea manager Garry Monk is keen to make Stevens his first summer signing.
