Ross Barkley says Aaron Ramsey will return to Nice this week.

Nice coach Lucien Favre had cast doubt on the playing future of the former Arsenal midfielder when revealing last week he had not returned from Wales' World Cup campaign.

There were suggestions Ramsey was considering retirement after a disappointing time in Qatar.

However, at today's media conference for their Monday night clash with Rennes, Barkley announced Ramsey would be returning this week.

On-loan from Chelsea, Barkley revealed he had spoken with the Welshman and he will join training in the coming days. Ramsey is on-loan at OGCN from Juventus.
