Barcelona skipper cool on Robinho interest

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol sees no reason for the Catalan giants to sign Manchester City playmaker Robinho. Speculation continues to link the Brazil international with an imminent return to Spain, with Camp Nou his most likely destination.

The 25-year-old frontman only quit the Primera Liga in September 2008, moving to City from Real Madrid in a £32.5million switch but has struggled with injuries this term and has hinted that he could be prepared to take on a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Puyol said: "The Brazilian is a great player, but we already have very good players in that position like Thierry Henry and Andres Iniesta, who can also play on the wing.

"I think we have a comprehensive squad."
