Barcelona will seek to restructure the contract of Jordi Alba this summer.

Sport says Barça will address the future of Alba in the coming weeks assuming that it is a delicate issue for a player who has won everything in a successful era.

The Blaugrana want to reduce the player's salary and would open the door to a release, although they are also willing to study the 'Umtiti formula' by renewing him for one more year to spread his salary over more seasons and thus help reduce the salary limit for the next season.

Alba's sporting situation is at its most delicate moment of his Barça career. The left-back had already assumed that he has lost his role as a starting player to Alex Balde, the club's big bet for that side of the pitch, but now he has been completely ostracized.
