Barcelona's Vilanova: Celtic can qualify in Champions League

Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova believes last night's opponents Celtic are capable of qualifying for the next phase of the Champions League.

The Catalan giants produced an injury-time winner courtesy of Jordi Alba to down the Scottish champions 2-1 at the Nou Camp with many suggesting it was a lucky equaliser from Vilanova's side.

The Barcelona manager feels that his side were not lucky to draw as they had plenty of chances earlier but did admit that Celtic are certainly good enough to progress from Group G ahead of Spartak Moscow and Benfica.

"Like I said yesterday, we knew Celtic were dangerous, they were fast and powerful in the air," Vilanova said after the match which saw Andres Iniesta cancel out Giorgios Samaras' early opener.

"But I don't think it was luck. Normally when you score at the end it is but I think we had bad luck before that.

"I this we deserved to win the game, their keeper played well and credit to them but I think we controlled them pretty well.

"It says a lot about Barca, we keep going and if you don't have any attempts on goal you won't win.

"But I believe that Celtic have a chance to qualify, they have two more matches at home so it is possible that they can go through."
