Barcelona star Lionel Messi has weighed into the Cesc Fabregas debate, saying he is confident the Arsenal captain will join him at the Nou Camp.
The Fabregas saga has rolled on for the entire off-season with the Gunners continually stating he is not for sale as Barcelona try desperately to get him back to the club.
Now Messi has thrown his two quids worth in saying Fabregas is likely to join Barcelona.
"It is no secret that Cesc is my friend. The whole world knows that and I would love him to sign for Barca," the Argentina star said in an interview with Spanish TV station Cuatro.
"I hope that the matter can be resolved soon and I'm confident that in the end it will be resolved in the way that Cesc can be a Barcelona player."
