Barcelona are ready to test Chelsea's resolve for Juan Mata. Barca see Mata as a replacement for wantaway midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
El Mundo Deportivo says Barca are now set to pounce for Mata to bring him back to his homeland.
Chelsea want to sign Daniele de Rossi, Stevan Jovetic and Luis Suarez and could use funds from a sale of Mata to fund those deals.
The 25-year-old Spain international would cost Barca around £30m.
