Barcelona president Joan Laporta says it may now be the right time to make an official bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. Following comments from the Spanish midfielder who said: "I think I would like to go to Barcelona, whether or not they want me is another thing", Laporta said it was maybe time the Catalan club seriously looked at brining the 23-year old back home.
"It is remarkable that the player has said that," he told the club's official website.
"If the technical secretary [Txiki Begiristain] believes we must make an effort, we will do and will talk to Arsenal."
It is believed that the signature of Fabregas will cost Barcelona about £40million.
