Barcelona president Joan Laporta has left the door open to Sergi Busquets staying.

The club captain is off contract in June and in contact with Inter Miami.

Laporta said on Cadena SER: "He is our captain and we are delighted with him at all levels.

"The day of Betis will be 700 games, he told me this morning. He has proposals from the United States and I know he was thinking about it, but in principle he will continue with us until the end of the season.

"In the summer we will talk, but I think he still has rope."
