Barcelona see Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan as a readymade replacement for Samuel Eto'o. Sport says a sensational swap which would see Eto'o move to the Vicente Calderon for Uruguay international Forlan could be on.

Forlan's contract has a £32 million buyout clause, which could be offset by Barca sending Eto'o and teenager Bojan Krkic to Atletico in exchange.

The most likely option would see Barca offer £18 million plus Krkic for Forlan.
