European champions Barcelona began their pre-season campaign with a low-key goalless draw away to Hajduk Split on Saturday evening.
A team consisting of youngsters and first-team stars had chances to win the game in Croatia but were also tested at the back by a side preparing for their upcoming Europa League qualifier against Stoke.
Victor Valdes, Seydou Keita, David Villa and Ibrahim Afellay started the game while Eric Abidal, Maxwell and Andres Iniesta came on as substitutes.
