Barcelona hero Samuel Eto'o has welcomed the arrival of former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

Aguero has moved to the Camp Nou on a free transfer this summer, and the Cameroonian expects the Argentine pair to be unstoppable.

"We're going to see 60 goals every season," Eto'o told Super Deportivo Radio about Barcelona's new strike partnership. "I only hope that God protects them from any more injuries."

Although Lionel Messi's contract at Barcelona ends on June 30, the former forward doesn't see the No.10 leaving.

"Messi is Barcelona," Eto'o said. "I don't see him playing in another shirt."

Eto'o and Messi played alongside one another when the Argentine's career was still on the up, and the elder of the two has nothing but praise for his character.

"I told Messi once that the goals he'd score would make him unique," Eto'o said. "He's a god. He always listened to me, said nothing and put my advice into practice.

"So often I want to climb into the TV and celebrate his goals with him because of how beautiful they are."
