The Daily Star says Luiz will join Barcelona following this summer's World Cup after agreeing terms on a £32m switch to the Camp Nou.
Brazil defender Luiz will be the first big name to depart Stamford Bridge as manager Jose Mourinho aims to balance the books.
According to reports in his native homeland, Luiz has agreed to join Barca on a five-year-contract and an official announcement of the deal will be made after this summer's World Cup.
