Barcelona star Lionel Messi struck a hat-trick in their 5-1 thumping of Sevilla. Messi has now become the Primera Division's all-time top scorer.
The Argentinian's treble took him past former Athletic Bilbao forward Telmo Zarra's mark of 251 goals and on to 253. They have come in just 289 games.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring with a sensational free-kick to draw level with Zarra, but his strike was cancelled out by Jordi Alba's own goal at the start of the second half.
Barca coach Luis Enrique remarked: "I feel lucky to be his manager. Nobody can be compared to him. He's one-of-a-kind and we'll never see anyone like him ever again and we are privileged to have him and be able to watch him."
