Barcelona are eager to secure Alejandro Balde to a new deal.

Sport says the academy player is the club's starting left-back ahead of Marcos Alonso and Jordi Alba. Balde's explosion has not gone unnoticed in the Premier League and two clubs are alert to see what happens with his Barca renewal.

Balde's agent Jorge Mendes has been speaking to the club for months over a renewal. Relations are good and the priority is that Balde stays but the player's people want him valued like Gavi and Araujo, who signed good deals.

Mendes has advised that Premier League sides are asking about him. His characteristics would be perfect for the English game. His power and speed is rare. Undoubtedly, the player wants to stay, but his agent is willing to move him on if needed.

Balde has a deal until 2024 and the two sides are negotiating an extension until 2027 with a big salary raise and release clause raise too. Barcelona have no intention of selling him and he wants to stay.
