Barcelona haven't ruled out securing captain Sergi Busquets to a new contract.
Relevo says Barcelona are open to the possibility of offering Sergio Busquets a new deal of either 6 months or an entire season.
The 34 year-old captained Spain at the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, but his team fell at the Round of 16 stage to surprise package Morocco and has since returned to his native country.
His future at Barça was almost a forgone conclusion, with many taking as read that the player would head to the USA and Inter Miami once the 22/23 season concludes, but now it appears the worm has turned, with noises coming out of the club that he may stay until December 2023.
Busquets' contract currently runs until June 2023, when he will be free to leave as a free agent. When the rumours of his departure first appeared, it was said that Busquets wanted to move to Inter Miami in January 2023, after the World Cup concluded, but Xavi's staff and those close to the midfielder convinced him otherwise.
