Barcelona coach Xavi is delighted with the early impressions of Oriol Romeu.

Romeu featured in victory over AC Milan yesterday.

Xavi said: "I am convinced that he will be a good substitute for (Sergi) Busquets. I know him and I have analysed him very well. He yields both attack and defence. It has been seen on this tour. He has leadership skills and communicates well. For me he is a great signing."

On Gavi, he said: "He will have a very important role. If you review the minutes he has had since I arrived, he is the first or second that has participated the most with me. He will be essential. He is pure passion, with a winning character. Nothing has changed."

And on Ansu Fati, Xavi added: "Ansu made a difference for us.

"We need him on the last third of the pitch. I am very happy for him. We need everyone."
