Barcelona coach Xavi was delighted after their 1-0 win against Las Palmas.

Raphinha struck the winner for the hosts.

Xavi said, "We played a great game. The result was close. We had very clear chances to score. We were very good with the expulsion of Valles. It is difficult for us to score the games, then we suffer... It is a summary of the season. It's hard for us to close games.

"Today we had doubts. We knew that Las Palmas defended with a very high line and that is why we chose Raphinha and Lamine. Then we understood that the game required Joao's (Felix) talent, his last pass... that's where the problem came from.

"Fantastic pass and good shot by Raphinha. It's a great goal. Good attitude, good personality. He works for the team. I'm very happy with him. Making the lineup was not easy. He could have started today.

"He came on and scored the goal and made the difference."
