Barcelona coach Xavi rates last night's win against Royal Antwerp the best performance of his tenure.

Barca kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 5-0 win against the Belgians.

Xavi later said: "I am very satisfied and happy. It is a 5-0 but, above the result, because of the game. How we are playing, how we are understanding it... Saturday and today is the best level that we have shown with me as coach. It is the path.

"There are new players who have improved the group, but in general we have improved. It is a pride to see the team, but we have to give continuity.

"(Joao) Cancelo and (Ilkay) Gündogan come from training with a coach who plays like us. Watching them play is wonderful. Also Joao Félix, who understands his role perfectly and is enjoying it.

"From within we know that it is a matter of work and that we must continue with humility. It is about giving continuity and we must not relax. We are in the best moment since I have been a coach. We are where we want to be but we must give it continuity."
