Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola wants to replace Thierry Henry with Valencia winger David Silva. AS says Guardiola expects Henry to leave the Nou Camp at the end of this season and sees Spain star Silva as his ideal replacement. The Barca coach is also a big fan of Silva's teammate Juan Mata, a former Real Madrid Castilla junior.
The stumbling block for Barca is Valencia president Manuel Llorente, who was angered by the way the European champs pursued David Villa in the summer. Llorente would prefer to do business with Real Madrid than Barca over his star players.
