Everton boss Roberto Martinez is in the frame for the Barcelona job. The Mail on Sunday says powerbrokers at the Nou Camp are paying close attention to how the 40-year-old Spaniard is doing at Goodison Park, having won the FA Cup with Wigan last season.
And Martinez could be offered the chance to take charge at Barca should coach Tata Martino choose to leave at the end of this season.
With Barcelona trailing Real Madrid by four points before Sunday's El Clasico, some within the club feel they need a new manager to herald in a new era, though Martino has a strong ally in fellow Argentine Lionel Messi.
